About WECE
WECE (Women in Electrical and Computer Engineering) is a student group within the school of ECE that seeks to support and encourage the success of female ECE students and to inspire and motivate young women to go into the engineering field. These goals are fulfilled through the organization's commitment to academic support, professional and personal development, as well as outreach and community service. Our office is located in Van Leer Room C444A.
What does WECE do?
Industry:
- Reaching out to compnaies for info sessions
- Coordinated Networking Mixer each semster

Professional:
- Awards scholarships for students to attend Grace Hopper Conference and SWE National Conference
- Hosts workshops focusing on resume reviews, linkedin headshots, nagivating recruitment season, and evaluations job offers, etc.

Outreach:
- WECE members regularly share to share ECE with the local community

Social:
- WECE hosts monthly social events to help grow members' networks within ECE and partner student organizations

How do I join?
You join automatically by being a student majoring in ECE. No fees, no commitment - just come to our events, eat our food, participate in our programs, and reap the rewards of membership! Thanks to our sponsors for making this possible. WECE officers also call every admitted ECE female student every spring to congradulate them and offer resoures to assist them in their college decision making process.

Can I Join the Advisory Board?
We will have elections in late March - early April, at which time you will be able to run for any position. Meanwhile, send us an email expressing your interest and we may find a spot on a committee for you!
